Members and guests enjoy a few minutes to visit before meeting begins
However, some are a little shy.... and some are off in "dream land"!
Good Citizen Chairman explains the qualifications of the DAR Good Citizens Awards for graduating seniors from Anderson County Schools. They were nominated by their faculty as exemplary youth. The awards are based on outstanding qualities of dependabiliy, service, leadership and patriotism. Each winner receives a certificate, a lapel pin, and a savings bond.
The Chairman read portions of recommendation letters for each recipient,
briefly telling of their high school achievements and activities.
Each student told us of future plans... where they would go to college, and about their ambitions for after college.
The 2011 graduating seniors being honored and their families and friends are
